CFP Ethics Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct

This program fulfills the requirement for CFP Board approved Ethics CE. It has been designed to educate CFP® professionals on CFP Board's new Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct updated July 1, 2024.
By the end of this program, the participant should be equipped to:
- Understand the structure and content of the revised Code and Standards, including significant changes from prior rules.
- Describe CFP Board’s Fiduciary Duty.
- Identify Material Conflicts of Interest and How to Avoid, or Fully Disclose, Obtain Informed Consent, and Manage Them.
- Understand the Duty to Report to CFP Board and the Duty to Cooperate.
- Identify the Practice Standards When Providing Financial Advice that Requires Financial Planning or Financial Planning. LO 6: Understand the Duty to Provide Information to Clients When Providing Financial Planning and/or Financial Advice.
There is a $50 cost to participate in this live session.
This live session is approved for two (2) hours of Continuing Education (CE) credit for Fi360 Designations. CFP Board and IWI CE is pending.
This live session is also approved for two (2) credits under Ethics and Professional Responsibility for IAR CE. NASAA does not endorse any particular provider of CE courses.
