The AIF final exam is a proctored exam. The requirement for a proctor ensures the integrity of the examination process as one of the high standards for earning the AIF designation.
Students in all formats of AIF training courses will have the opportunity to take the exam at the course's conclusion with an fi360 faculty member or other prearranged individual acting as proctor.
Students in the Web-based AIF training course, or those who otherwise cannot participate in the classroom examination, will be responsible for providing their own proctor according to the following guidelines:
- A proctor will be responsible for overseeing these basic guidelines for the AIF exam:
- 90 minutes in length
- Closed-book
- Completed in one sitting
- Proctors may include:
- Student's supervisor—Supervisor cannot be a current student and must be with the same company
- Student's manager—Manager cannot be a current student and must be with the same company
- A human resources professional from the student's employer
- A public librarian
- Employee of an adult learning center, such as Sylvan
- Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction
- Compliance officer
- Practors may NOT be:
- Friend
- Relative
- Spouse
- Supervisee
- Coworker
- Professional colleague
- Business associate
- Fi360 will contact each proctor to verify their identity and to provide a list of their responsibilities and proctoring instructions. Please allow 72 hours to process.
Student must arrange to have access to a computer and internet connection while their proctor supervises them.
